11th graders Courtney Chan, Aesha Ghandi, and Alec Zhang
participated the Mass State High School Science and Engineering Fair held
at MIT on May 1 and 2, 2015. Their project,
entitled “The Effects of Analgesics Combined With Alcohol on Enzymatic
Degradation” impressed the judges – the team came away with the 2015 Prentice
Hall Book Award, MSSEF Science & Technology $50.00 award, a 2015 MIT
Educational Studies Program Scholarship, and an Honorable Mention award. This was the very first science fair
experience for these students who were supported by AHS science teachers Melanie Cutler and Eva Holm-Andersen. Congratulations!
